Are any of you in charge of Turkey Day at your house? Or, perhaps you want to gather your friends over the holidays to celebrate how thankful you are for the great people in your life. Either way, I’ve got you covered with some entertaining made easy per usual, since you know I don’t cook! I don’t really clean either. What on earth DO I do anyway? Well, I prefer to just inspire you with all the fun things my friends! This year I gathered a few fabulous brands to sponsor my Friendsgiving, and I told all about them on my latest Lowcountry Live TV segment. Watch the replay online, and keep reading to see a few of my favorite tips to keep your holidays super simple so you can focus on fun with friends & family.
Disposable Dishes from Chinet
We just cannot spend our whole Thanksgiving or Friendsgiving cleaning up while everyone else gets to nap, socialize, watch football, or play card games! I love disposable plates since they allow for easy clean up so I can spend more time with my friends, but I wanted to find some that looked fancy enough for a holiday table top. These Chinet® Classic White™ square dinner plates and dessert plates were the perfect touch!
I have to say I was pretty impressed that these plates could also stand up to a heaping pile of Thanksgiving food without sagging or leaking!
Head to MyChinet.com to see more of their great products or to find a store that carries them nearby.
Delightful Decor from Anagram Balloons
Anagram Balloons is the world’s largest foil balloon manufacturer, so no wonder I was able to find a bunch of great options for our fun Friendsgiving set up. I used their rose gold foil letters to spell out Thankful, rose gold Orbz for our tablescape, and we also used these foil circles to have guests write what they are thankful for.
A few fun balloon facts from your favorite balloon boss babe: Foil balloons are awesome to decorate with because they tend to last a lot longer than latex! Most people don’t know it, but you don’t actually need helium to decorate with foil balloons, they can also be filled with air. I could have strung the letter balloons as a banner on the wall instead, and they would last even longer than when filled with helium. You can find lots of Anagram’s foil options at our shop, Cannonborough Collective, as well as in local grocery stores and other party shops around Charleston (or at a party shop near you).
A Fabulous Feast from Hamby Catering
Hamby Catering is absolutely who you need to call to save the day if you’re like me and hate to cook! They have a Gobble Gobble package that is perfect to feed 8, which is a pick-up menu from the Market at Hamby. It comes with a turkey, mac & cheese, sweet potato casserole, southern green beans, cornbread dressing, & classic turkey gravy. There are plenty of a la carte desserts available, too!
For every one of the Gobble Gobble packages purchased, Hamby Catering will sponsor a Thanksgiving meal for a family in need through the Lowcountry Food Bank, so how great is that?! Check out the Hamby a la carte offerings if you want to add to that or create your own menu (P.S. they have wine, too).
To Order from Hamby:
Order Online, call (843-571-3103), or email email@example.com, then simply pick up your meal from the Market on Wednesday November 27th between 9am-5pm. The market has a great selection of wine there too, so you will have no trouble making your meal complete!
