The husband and myself usually make a good effort at prioritizing weekly dates, and we always enjoy finding places where we can bring along our favorite 4-legged third wheel.  We love hitting up downtown spots, but locals and visitors are missing out if you don't explore Mount Pleasant sometimes!

I always love checking out Emerson Row's airstream when she pops up around town.  You can catch her Tuesdays parked next to Brown Fox Coffee, and check her instagram to find her elsewhere.  She always has great home decor; local art, the coolest collection of goat hide rugs, and faux air plants.  The latest discoveries I made in #charlietheairstream are Hatchcove Designs (watercolor maps) and Texture Design Co. for local prints and cute cards.  I also don't usually think shopping with my husband is fun in any way and I'm pretty sure he doesn't either, but keep reading...

The reason I got to do a little shopping on this date? Coffee for the husband! Emerson Row parks at Brown Fox Coffee a couple times a week, so your man can have an delicious Mexican Fox while you browse.  Think mocha with a little bit of spice; it has a little cayenne, but the other ingredients are a secret.  I've never had anything else like it, & I may have finished most of Jonathan's for him during shopping breaks, oops!

Stepping into Rarebit's spunky sister restaurant, The Americano, is like going back to Florida in the 50's.  The decor is super cool, the cocktails are refreshing, and the brunch is my favorite one in Mount Pleasant. I dare you to try to find better bacon, and the black beans with chimichurri are a must-try item!  I'm no food blogger, so I'll just share some photos of the fun ambiance of the restaurant.  Have some cigars & Mexican Mules or play shuffleboard while you wait with your date.

If you'd like a waterfront stroll without getting sandy, Pitt Street Bridge has got you covered. I'm always toting a Turkish towel or two, so we spread them out and plopped down to breathe in the salt air while Maddie made herself comfortable.
