Friday Fete: West Elm Meet the Maker Event

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of being a vendor at a great West Elm pop-up event.  The Charleston West Elm has been incredibly wonderful to my business, and they have even submitted some of my products to be sold in their locals section!  We will see what happens with that, but meanwhile I love being a part of and attending all of their great events.  I'm also excited to offer my West Elm designer discount to anyone who uses my Interior Decorating services!  I wanted to share some of Abby Murphy's great photos from this event, and you can read more of the details of the ins and outs of being an artisan in store pop-ups on The Southern Coterie's blog.  I'd also love for you to come see me this weekend at another pop-up, Saturday 9/23 at Celadon from 11-4 and Sunday 11-2 at the Celadon Warehouse in North Charleston!

Here are a few of the products I brought for the event, and my FAVORITE customer of the night was Erin of Sunwoven.  She is the queen of mid-century modern decor and has her beautiful woven wall art available in West Elm, so I can't think of anyone I would rather have had purchase an Escape bag that night.  Plus, her kids gave me some major fashion inspiration!!

I'm always so appreciative when friends come to show their support! It was so great to see Candice from YOJ Events, Kelly of Paper Meets Pearl, Emma of Emma Katzka Bridal, English of Renovating Charleston, and especially Abby who captured some great photos!  I also hugely appreciate the staff of West Elm for making things like this possible for local artisans like myself.

Some of my favorite other artisans were there with their wares as well.  I recently got hooked on the Contents Co. and their botanical candles and products. It was also great to see Perla Anne Press, Kristen Solecki, Dodeline Design, Blakely Little, and 42 Pressed.  One of the best parts of this events was probably the ABCD Cake macarons, but they didn't last long!

Friday Fete: Green and Orange Tablescape

Pardon me for still not being over this shoot I styled earlier this year.  Rachel of Rachel Red Photography really let me go crazy with the concept and decor for our poolside soiree, and it all came together thanks to a great team of folks!  I loved the clean look of the white table and seating (mixed stools and chairs).  A vibrant orange and white runner was a great starting point, which paired great with West Elm's Dapper plates.  Succulents, palms, and all kinds of greenery really popped in assorted sizes and shapes of white vases.  Mixing metals is always a winner so we used stainless steel cups and gold utensils.  We topped it off with personalized succulent flags for escort cards and voila! This is the perfect table scape to brighten up your soiree any time of year, from brunches to birthdays!

Cheers to another fun fete! Check out more photos from this shoot over at Style Me Pretty Living and on my Instagram

Cotton Lovin' Charleston!

West Elm is one of my favorite stores on King Street, mostly because they love LOCALS!  If you have been in one of their stores you probably have seen their section featuring local artisans or been to a pop-up shop.  West Elm is so gracious to host myself and some other locals this weekend, July 23 from 1-5 p.m. We have gathered all the artisans we could think of that have something to do with cotton! I'll be there with my 100% cotton Turkish towels, Nicholas Askew will have cotton arrangements/wreaths, and The Contents Co has some delightful botanical mists you can spray on towels and sheets!  The ladies of The Town Serif and Jenn Griffith Art will also be there with some fabulous pieces to adorn your wall!  And to top it all off we have Pure Fluff Co. serving up some organic cotton candy!  Check some of my styles below in the photos from Rachel Craig Photography, or head to my online shop, and comment if there is a certain color you would like for me to bring!!
