I have been a long-time fan of Society Social, Roxy Te Owen's fabulous furniture company. Prior to her journey to start her business, we attended NC State together. I used to love reading her blog, My Cup of Te (it might have been the first blog I ever read!). That was long before Pinterest and Instagram, and I have loved seeing her inspiring career take off and evolve along with the times. Her furniture line and Instagram account are full of the most fun things that inspire you to have fun with decorating and entertaining. I'd also dare to say she is responsible for really resurrecting the bar cart as a household must have. I'm lucky enough to own a couple of pieces of her furniture from when she was first starting out, but even now that she's KOABD she offers some financing plans to keep things attainable to everyone.
Sadly my first SS purchase, the Quinn Sofa, has to find a new home to make room for our new sectional. Even sadder is that it wouldn't fit through the door to my office like I had planned, so I have to say goodbye. Yes, it's just furniture, but it's been really fun to have a piece from Roxy's line that only keeps getting better and was dreamed up by a fellow NC gal. Below are some photos of when she came to our first home to feature us in The Real Society Socials, taken by her brother Lawrence Te. This shoot was over 2 years ago, and it's fun to see that my taste hasn't changed much, except maybe for replacing my anchor obsession with pineapples. I hope you enjoy these photos and be sure to check out my current SS favorites that are on my perma wishlist: a palm print headboard & Quinn club chair.
